Hey Shorty-Chapter 3

"What the h*** happened this morning?" Renji flexed his arm and hand, Orihime had healed it to perfection. Renji looked around the crowded shop. The entire 10th division, Rukia, Chad, Uryu, Ichigo, Masako and Orihime were all there.

"Who knows, seven Arrancars, and all spread out. It took all of us just to keep up." Said Ichigo.

"Not to mention, they left before anyone else could get here…"

Uryu scoffed and pushed back his glasses, "Well obviously it was a diversion. They wanted everyone else busy so they could steal Urahara's invention. It was probably under Aizen's orders."

"What did they take Urahara?" Rukia said curious.

"I call it Goman. A person can use it to cause their enemy immense pain."

"It's easy to see why they would want it, but why would you invent such a device?" Rukia asked.

"Well, I was bored and wondered if I could do it."

"I don't like the idea of Aizen having such a weapon."

"None of us do…hey Captain, you seem very distracted. You haven't said a word through this whole thing." Rangiku focused her attention on Captain Hitsugaya.
Hitsugaya snapped out of his daydreams and realized everyone was looking at him. He scowled because he couldn't figure out that Keiko Arrancar, they didn't have to know that though. "There's not much more to say," He turned around and calmly sat down, hoping to blend into the background once more. He needed to be alone so he could think.

"That's unlike you Captain, besides you looked like you had something on your mind. Are you sure you don't want to say it?" Rangiku walked over to her Captain and bent down to meet him at eye level. She couldn't figure him out. Hitsugaya pretended to ignore her, which he did on a regular basis anyway.
Rangiku stood up and turned her attention back to Urahara, "Well I'm wondering if the invention works.

"Like a charm," Urahara stated proudly.

"Ummm…Urahara?"

"Yes?"

"How do you know that it works? How did you test it out?" Orihime said curiously.

"That's on a need to know basis." Urahara said with a smirk.

Suddenly Keiko burst into the cramped store, dragging Wonderweiss behind her.
Aside from Urahara and Masako, everyone in the room stood up in alarm and took a defensive position.

"H h hey guys….What's up?" She said nervously.

"KEIKO!!!" Masako and Rangiku said in unison and ran to hug their friend.

"Long time no see, how are the bracelets working?" Urahara said happily.

"Nice to see you again," Uryu relaxed and sat back down.

"Hi, sorry I never visit you guys…I've just been a little busy lately…"

"You guys know each other?" Renji said.

"Yeah of course! We go way back!" Masako said grinning.

Hitsugaya slinked out of the room while everyone was distracted.

"We could elaborate on how we met but…there's not enough time." Keiko stated, her tone very serious.

"What's wrong? I knew you looked worried...wait what did you do?!" Masako asked now worried. She looked around expecting to see explosions and/or screaming."

"Yeah…about that…"

"Look, we'd love to help you but we have problems of our own." Ichigo said.
"How do you know that it's not the same problem Carrot-top?"

"Figures…Should've known you were part of what happened this morning…." Ichigo scowled.

"You might be right. Why don't you let me finish so you can find out?"

"Hmph, whatever…" Ichigo leaned against the wall and glared at Keiko."

Keiko rolled her eyes, "Well anyways…as you know we were ordered by Aizen to steal the Goman. Obviously the mission was successful…."

Ichigo grunted and asked, "Why is this a problem for you?"

Masako stared at Ichigo, "Is he always this annoying? So as I was saying…"

"How can you get along with her?! Ichigo looked around at Uryu, Urahara, Rangiku and Masako, "She's the enemy!"

"Would you SHUT UP?! At least thanks to me you still have one Toushiro!"
"What? Like he needs you to save him!"

"Tell that to him! Where is the little fluff-ball anyways? I was looking forward to seeing him."

"I don't know where he went…he was just here. But Ichigo, wether she's the enemy or not, I think we should listen to what she has to say, it could be useful in figuring out what happened and what to do next," Renji walked over closer to Keiko and waited to hear what she had to say.

"Thank you!" Keiko huffed and finally continued on with the story. Finally she got to their arrival at the shop. "I'm here because I'm a traitor, and I thought maybe you guys could use my help in getting your Goman back."

"Why do you want to help us? Like I said, you're the enemy…besides, I still don't trust you." Ichigo said irritated.

Keiko pointed to her small group of friends, "I want help because they are my friends. Plus I would like to get back at Aizen for trying to kill me."

"What is Aizen planning to do with it?" Urahara asked.

                "He wants to figure out how it's made and make more…and he's also planning on kidnapping Orihime."
